On a hot and humid sunny morning, Mr. Tapan Sikdar was commuting to work from Howrah to Park Street. As usual, he boarded the AC1 from Howrah station.
The only worrying thing for Mr. Sikdar was that today he was carrying only 500 and 2000 rupee notes.
In spite of being aware of the situation, Mr.Sikdar still dared to ask the conductor for the ticket. And that is when the nightmare began.
The conductor started roasting Mr. Sikdar in front of all the daily commuters, and he started feeling the heat even though he was on an AC bus.
It didn’t stop there the conductor got down at the High Court Bus stop and went straight to the High Court and registered a case against him for not carrying proper change.
Poor Mr. Sikdar had to appear at the court and missed his morning tea at the office. You can avoid this from happening, carry small denominations, always!
The only worrying thing for Mr. Sikdar was that today he was not carrying only 500 and 2000 rupee notes.– i thik here “not” is redundant, meaning has been changed.
Thanks for pointing it out, we have corrected the same 🙂
